Mailsi has houses a big number of agro-based industrial units. Cotton ginning factories have been established here in large number due to the superior quality of cotton produced in the area. A total of 115 cotton factories exist in district Vehari. Some of the bigger factories in Mailsi are Ittefaq Cotton Factory, Allahyar Cotton Factory, Mehfoz Cotton Factory and Rahim Baksh Cotton Factory.

Around 30 Oil Mills and 3 Flour Mills have been established here. Besides these industrial units a textile mill with the name of Gulshan Textile Mill is also working for the industrial uplift of the area.
