Fateh Jang is a pre-dominantly rural area and the rural population makes its living through land cultivation and cattle rearing. However industry is growing in the adjoining areas of Fateh Jang. Khwaja Glass Factory, Rashid Ghee Mills, Saraj Flour Mills and Feather Oil are the industrial units working in the area. A marble processing plant is under construction these days.
